I am continuing to work through Exploring Creation With Zoology 2: Swimming Creatures of the 5th Day with my two youngest - my oldest has moved on to high school biology. They are really enjoying this book, especially the hands-on activities like this fun experiment.
It's nice when you can entertain your kids and educate them at the same time! ;-)
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI am one of the Founders of TEACHS, a local homeschoolers group here in Virginia. Any ideas on air experiments? What supplies did you need for this experiment? Our theme for February is Earth and Sky, so anything related would work.

Thanks - saw your group at HS-in-HR.
ReplyDeleteAll of the experiments we are doing this year are from Apologia's elementary marine biology book - so no air pressure experiments. Sorry!
For this experiment you just need the bottle, water, and a glass eye dropper. You fill the dropper about halfway before putting it in the bottle of water. The bottle needs to be tightly closed.
You may need to play around with the amount of water in both the dropper and the bottle to get this to work right.
